Covid-19: An astrological and energetic perspective

Looking at the energy around the global Covid-19 situation is like standing in front of a giant washing machine packed with all sorts of clothes, created from all sorts of materials, from smooth pink chiffon to rough grey fleece, spinning at full speed and trying to decipher what’s in there. There’s so much going on, with so many consequences, potentials and hidden hands. The rapid rate at which things are unfolding is head-spinning – which is crazy to write seeing as usually we’re asking “Why is this shift taking so long?!!”

Saturn and Pluto 2020

Imagine a huge round table. You have head-honcho’s Saturn and Pluto seated on the left, accompanied by the Sun and Mercury. Jupiter is a little to their left, yet to properly join them but close enough to eavesdrop on the conversation and find out exactly who needs what. You have the Full Moon directly opposite the Sun, Mercury, Saturn and Pluto. In the centre is the Earth, with all round table discussions relating to Her and all who live upon Her, including You.

Riding the Storm

The intensity of last Monday’s Scorpio New Moon opposite Uranus (28 Oct) has, for a lot of people, continued. Deep emotional releases from heavy crying to rage-like anger to feeling generally frazzled has many feeling out of sorts- even while things in your life might be generally okay. At the same time the Schumann Resonance was pumping strong (imagine your heart beating faster than usual, and you feel that thump thump thump stronger than usual....only this is Earth’s heart beat).

Forks in the Road and New Foundations

The overall message for this month feels very much to be “turn up your Light!” Leo is the Lion, King (or Queen) of the jungle. This is a month to step up and stand up for what it is you want. It could mean being more vocal about things you care about, or noticing where you no longer want to hide, or play it small.

Longest Lunar Eclipse joined by Mars

As I'm sure you've read, the Lunar Eclipse happening in about 6-8 hours will be the longest this century. It was so interesting to read what made it the longest. Firstly, a Lunar Eclipse happens when the Earth is between the Moon and the Sun, creating a shadow of Earth that covers the Moon. The length of an Eclipse depends on how much of the shadow the Moon eventually ends up passing through - sometimes it's just a bit of it, but with this Lunar Eclipse the Moon will pass right through the centre of Earth's shadow making the eclipse longer than most.

Keep the faith

A lot of people are seeing a world that is coming apart at the seams. Really what we are seeing are frayed edges that have always been there, only they have been covered up. The Wizard of Oz curtain is being pulled back, and a lot of what we are seeing isn't 'nice'. But seeing things as they are is a really important part of the bridge process as we go from what we'll all one day call the old world, to the new.
